NOVA: THE BLOG

After several weeks of carefully working on minor things in the show set from the album "No Map To Kansas" i am now entering the evaluation phase.

This is where i plan to look at the set...look at the cadence....feel the vibe...catch the vibration from the performance.

Tonight i plan to rock the newest version of the set which NOW includes "No Map To Kansas", "Hit By A Bus" and "Home Sweet Home" to close the set out.

The omission being "Watch Her". After working on that a few weeks i found it is lacking 'show level' intensity to be performed. it is an ASTOUNDING radio single though...without question...with THAT behind it...maybe it may one day again become live.

The test tonight is on two things.

1) The opening cadence. How i present myself to the stage....how i bring the CORRECT energy to the beginnings of these records.

and

2) Self-control. Stop the wandering....own the stage....own the microphone...own the performance....command. MC....MASTER your ceremony...mean every word...every motion.

These two components tonight are my goals. I want FULL CONTROL out there and not let any element take away from fully CONTROLLING the moment. It is IN THAT SAME MOMENT....that a human being controls time.........time becomes a exostential being......GOOD or BAD....LONG or SHORT.....MEMORABLE OR FORGOTTEN.

Embracing that i CONTROL that MOMENT.....that this is the ONE TRUE WAY man can control time......understanding that on that stage....I AM......and I AM THAT STAGE.

Mean every word. mean every action. Fun or serious. Believe in the power of NOVA music. this is what i want to translate...but most importantly for me.....relax..............inhale.........OWN TIME........CONTROL TIME........RULE THE MOMENT.
